Our Story
Our journey began with a singular vision: to cultivate world-class grapes for sale in Red Mountain and Columbia Valley AVAs. With Red Mountain’s low rainfall, cleansing winds, and high-alkaline soils, alongside Columbia Valley’s diverse microclimates, our vineyards provide the perfect conditions to grow premium grape varieties capable of producing exceptional wines of the highest quality.
To achieve this, we assembled a skilled team of winemakers, along with our vineyard manager and viticulturist, combining proven techniques from both old and new world traditions. Every choice, from soil management to harvest timing, is made with meticulous precision and tailored to the needs of our customers.

VP, Vineyard Operations
Laurie Peterson
Laurie brings over three decades of strategic leadership and operational expertise to her role as VP of Operations at Aquilini Vineyards. She oversees all vineyard operations with a focus on grape quality and consistency. Since joining in 2020, she has worked closely with the vineyard team to optimize production, improve efficiency, and ensure a reliable supply for grape and bulk wine customers. Laurie takes a hands-on approach to operations with a focus on buyer needs and long-term partnerships. Her leadership supports Aquilini’s commitment to producing high-quality fruit for premium wine production.
Vineyard Manager
Raul Chavez
Rooted in a rich agricultural upbringing, Raul Chavez, our dedicated Vineyard Manager, has seamlessly translated his passion for farming into the world of grapes. Originally on a business trajectory at Central Washington University, Raul found his true calling in the fields, accumulating 15 years of expertise overseeing apple orchards and 360 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. In April 2023, Raul brought his wealth of experience to Aquilini Vineyards, contributing a seasoned perspective to our dynamic team.

Jose Madrigal
Hailing from Mattawa, WA, Jose Madrigal's journey into grape farming commenced under the mentorship of his father, an esteemed Vineyard Manager overseeing a sprawling 450-acre vineyard. With a bachelor’s degree in Viticulture & Enology earned in 2021, Jose quickly rose to the role of Head Viticulture Technician at Sagemoor Vineyards in the Columbia Valley. Now, as an integral part of the Aquilini Vineyard Team, Jose is dedicated to crafting top-tier grapes and fostering strong customer relationships.
Vineyard Office Manager
Maria Vasquez
Living in the Tri-Cities area for 20 years, Maria’s journey in the vineyards began in 2014, where she gained valuable hands-on experience working in the farms. In 2024, Maria took her experience indoors as Aquilini’s Vineyards Office Manager, continuing to grow professionally and supporting the entire Vineyards Management Team. Maria oversees all office operations, vendor relationships and team coordination bringing a very important skill set to our farm.
